The academical side:
Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Health Sciences and a Diploma in Physical Therapy in 2012
Holistic Massage, Indian Head Massage and Deep Tissue Massage in 2004 to 2005
Additional training in The Dorn Method and CrainioSacral Therapy
The personal side:
I came to Ireland, from Germany, in 1989. Young, enthusiastic and very inexperienced I co-owned an Au-Pair agency and youth club for a few years, then worked my way through life with simple jobs to finance an education as Health and Fitness instructor. I did get to work in a Leisure Centre but better wages were offered in call-centre jobs. After years in office work, bound to computers and telephones, I finally managed to cut loose and become a Therapist.
Physical Therapy & Remedial Massage
Proper assessment, the Patient and I work out all problems and worries together. The Assessment consists of a medical screening form and a good talk about the Patients concerns, along with the appropriate orthopaedic tests to ensure safety and a full picture of all problems.
Then we agree on a suitable treatment and realistic exercise plan, that works for the patient. Treatment often consists of manual therapy techniques like mayofascial release, triggerpoint therapy, low grade manipulations, the Dorn method, neuromuscular retraining and many more. The exercise plan consists of a manageable amount of exercises, appropriate for each individual Patient.
Mobile Therapy, if you are not mobile
To provide Physical Therapy in Kildare I can come to your home for a call out charge of €10 per person per visit!
Your living room will become my clinic.
For anybody who cannot travel, is wheelchair bound or bed bound, elderly and not able to travel.
